Weekly Drop-In Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation is the drawing of awareness to the flow of present moment experience (thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, or your very beingness) with openness, and an attitude of acceptance. In doing this, we train our monkey minds to come out of our habitual patterns of stress and negativity, allowing us to experience life with clarity and wisdom. Not merely a passive practise, mindfulness invites us to actively investigate the ways in which the mind gets hooked on old thoughts and beliefs, and trains us to bring it back to the spaciousness and extraordinary potential that rests within the present moment..
Despite its apparent simplicity, mindfulness meditation is tremendously powerful and can open us to our capacity to live a vibrant, awake life full of compassion and creativity. When practised sincerely and consistently over time, it has the potential to free us from many kinds of suffering. At Heart Space, we celebrate each mindful moment as a step toward a richer existence. Every mindful breath serves as a reminder of the deep worth in our very being.
